About Watermelon Mountain Ranch

Founded in 1996 by Lee and Sophia DiClemente, Watermelon Mountain Ranch has blossomed from a grassroots initiative into New Mexico's largest no-kill animal shelter. With a sprawling 10-acre campus, two resale stores, and offsite adoption centers, the Ranch is dedicated to providing a safe haven for animals in need. The organization operates various humane programs, including Canine/Feline Foster Care, Humane Education, and an on-site Vet Clinic. Notably, Molly's Mercy Missions rescues animals facing euthanasia in shelters across the Southwest and Juarez, Mexico.

Impact

Watermelon Mountain Ranch has saved over 200,000 animals, placing them in loving homes and enriching the community.
