Our Story
Founded in 2002 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Water Engineers for the Americas (WEFTA) connects donors and volunteers with Latin American communities in need of clean water and improved sanitation. The organization aligns with the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, focusing on Sustainable Development Goal #6, which aims to ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
Impact
Since its inception, WEFTA has completed over 125 projects, positively impacting more than 230,000 lives by providing access to clean drinking water and improved sanitation.
