Founded in July 2018 by Colin Sternagel and Jason Lundgren, Waste Loop began as a grassroots initiative aimed at reducing local waste and supporting the agricultural community. Through a partnership with the City of Leavenworth, a waste characterization study was conducted, uncovering significant opportunities for waste diversion. Achieving 501(c)(3) status in April 2019, Waste Loop has since developed innovative programs and partnerships to tackle local waste challenges.
