Our Story
The Washington State Microenterprise Association was established in 2004 to support the smallest businesses in Washington, which represent the majority of the state's economy. Founded by microenterprise practitioners, WSMA serves as a vital statewide network advocating for micro-entrepreneurship and coordinating essential resources.
Our Impact
Since becoming an independent nonprofit in 2007, WSMA has awarded over $4 million in grants to Entrepreneur Support Organizations, leveraging an additional $1 million in funds. The organization has been instrumental in providing training, technical assistance, and microloans to microbusinesses, especially those owned by underrepresented groups.
