Since 2005, the Washington County Gay Straight Alliance has been a beacon of hope for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Transsexual, Questioning, Queer, Asexual, and Allied (LGBTQA+) community in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Formally established as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2012, WCGSA has evolved from a safe space for LGBTQA+ youth to a vibrant hub offering over 130 days of annual programming for individuals of all ages.
WCGSA provides more than 70 days of essential programming each year, addressing critical needs such as social support, legal assistance, education, well-being, and healthcare for the LGBTQA+ community, which often faces discrimination in these areas.
