Established in 1987, the Washington Area Community Investment Fund is dedicated to increasing equity and economic opportunity in underserved communities in the Washington, DC area. As one of the nation’s first Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), Wacif has been a pioneer in supporting low- and moderate-income entrepreneurs.
