Our Story

Founded by Licensed Social Worker Rick Yount, Warrior Canine Connection began its journey in 2008 with a mission to provide therapeutic service dog training for veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTS) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). With programs now spanning five states, WCC creates a unique bond between veterans and service dogs, aiding in recovery and reintegration into society.

Impact

Warrior Canine Connection has successfully trained and placed service dogs with thousands of veterans, offering essential support for their physical and emotional needs. The organization operates under a model of 'Warriors helping Warriors,' fostering a sense of purpose and community among veterans.
