C.A.R.E. Center

Our Story

The C.A.R.E. Center has been dedicated to serving children and families affected by child abuse since 1999. Established through the collaborative efforts of the Warren and Washington County District Attorney’s offices, the Center was created to address the pressing issue of child abuse in the community. Initially starting as a Child Fatality Review Team, it quickly evolved into a multidisciplinary team focused on investigating severe child abuse allegations in the bi-county area. The Center's first office was located on Division St. in Glens Falls, and it now operates from 24 Dix Ave. in Glens Falls.

Impact

The mission of the Warren-Washington C.A.R.E. Center is to provide a safe and child-friendly environment for children who are victims of sexual and/or physical abuse, along with their non-offending family members. The Center connects families with essential services during the criminal or child protective investigation process.
