Our Story

Fifty years ago, families of disabled children in Dallas County faced a daunting lack of resources and support. The Warren Center was established in 1968 to fill this critical gap, providing community-based services that empower children with disabilities and their families. Over the decades, grassroots efforts and proven successes have fostered increased awareness and adaptation of programs to meet the evolving needs of families.

Impact

One inspiring example is Ira, whose significant progress has allowed her to visit India and return to daycare with minimal regression. No longer overwhelmed by anxiety, Ira now enjoys social interactions and has developed her communication skills, using five-word phrases and expanding her vocabulary.
