The War Heroes On Water tournament, founded in 2018 by legendary sportfisherman Anthony Hsieh, honors and aids in the healing of Veterans returning home from service. Since its inception, WHOW has directly served over 425 Veterans on the water, fostering connections and support.
In its sixth year, WHOW has raised over $6 million, providing therapeutic experiences for Veterans and supporting thousands more through Freedom Alliance's year-round services.
The transition to civilian life can be challenging for many Veterans, with alarming suicide rates. The WHOW Tournament creates meaningful connections among Veterans, fleet captains, and the WHOW family, replicating the camaraderie of the battlefield and offering a vital support network.
