Since its inception in 1996, the Wapakoneta Family YMCA has been a cornerstone of the Wapakoneta community, dedicated to fostering youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The journey began with a generous donation of 10.5 acres from St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Diocese of Cincinnati, paving the way for a vibrant community hub.

A Legacy of Growth and Community Support

In January 2000, the Wapakoneta Family YMCA opened its doors after raising an impressive $2.5 million from local supporters. Over the years, the Y has expanded its facilities and services, including a $1 million campaign for building expansion in 2007 and an $8.5 million expansion in July 2020, which added 20,000 square feet of space. Today, the campus boasts a climbing wall, kids gymnasium, multi-purpose rooms, and a medical practice, among other amenities.
