Our Story
Walking Palms Global Health Incorporated emerged as a grassroots response to the catastrophic 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Ecuador’s Pacific coast in April 2016. This disaster, compounded by the strongest El Niño event on record, highlighted the urgent need for health services in affected communities. In the aftermath, dedicated doctors, nurses, and volunteers rallied to provide care to over 6,000 local residents. Recognizing the necessity for sustainable health initiatives, Walking Palms evolved into an interdisciplinary global health organization focused on building social resilience through community-led programs.
