Our Story
Walkin' In My Shoes was born from a personal journey of hardship and resilience. At the age of 51, after losing a job, home, and healthcare, the founder faced the depths of despair while experiencing homelessness. With a loyal dog by their side, they navigated the challenges of living outdoors, seeking help from local leaders and organizations. This experience ignited a passion to create change, leading to the establishment of the first Survival Backpack program in America. This initiative aims to provide essential resources and support to those facing homelessness, ensuring that no one has to endure the cold alone.
