The Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry was established in 1982 by members of the First Baptist Church to assist individuals and families in need. Transitioning from an interfaith initiative to a community-based organization, it became a nonprofit in 2002. In 2010, the pantry expanded to a larger facility to better serve the growing number of guests.
By providing food and household necessities, the Wakefield Food Pantry significantly improves the lives of those facing food insecurity in the community.
