Our Story

Founded in 2012, Wahiawā Health is a community health center born from the vision of the late Sen. Daniel Inouye. His commitment to ensuring that residents of this geographically isolated area have access to comprehensive health care has led to the establishment of Wahiawā Health as one of the six Sen. Inouye Legacy Projects. As a Federally Qualified Health Center Look Alike (FQHC-LAL) and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Wahiawā Health serves the residents of Central Oʻahu, including Wahiawā, Mililani, Waialua, and Kunia, providing essential health services to all in need.

Impact

Wahiawā Health has been recognized by the American Heart Association and American Medical Association for its commitment to improving blood pressure control rates, earning Silver recognition as part of the Target: BP™ initiative. This dedication to helping patients manage their blood pressure is a vital step towards reducing the risks of heart disease and stroke, ultimately contributing to longer, healthier lives for the community.
