The W.C. Atkinson Memorial Community Service Center was founded in 1927 by the first black doctor in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. This center is dedicated to enhancing neighborhood revitalization by providing essential community resources, referrals, and housing for lower-income families and homeless men.
Since 1992, the W.C. Atkinson Men’s Shelter has offered a safe haven for over 6,000 men, serving those who are vulnerable and chronically homeless through referrals from the United Way 211 Service.
