Our Story

Founded in 1896 by Maud and Ballington Booth, Volunteers of America (VOA) has a long-standing commitment to supporting vulnerable populations. VOA Southeast, established in 1980, began with group homes for individuals with developmental disabilities in Mobile, Alabama, and has since expanded its services across Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi.
