Paws Farm

Our Story

Paws Farm was founded in 1979 by dedicated volunteers who envisioned a space where children could learn about and care for animals. After restoring the historic Darnell Farmstead in Mount Laurel, NJ, the nonprofit faced significant challenges, including a temporary closure in 2020 due to deteriorating conditions and the impact of COVID-19. A petition signed by 147,000 supporters led to the formation of a new nonprofit in 2021, successfully reopening Paws Farm in the summers of 2022 and 2023 with the help of community support and partnerships.
