Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) began in 1958, when Alec and Mora Dickson sent 16 British volunteers to Borneo in response to a call for English teachers. Over the decades, VSO has evolved into a global organization, mobilizing skilled volunteers from diverse backgrounds to make a difference in over 90 countries.
