Our Story

Founded in 2015 by Linda Norman, Kate Rengel, and Lauren Carpenter, the Voices of Change Animal League (VOCAL) was established to combat pet overpopulation in Marion County, Florida. Initially focused on creating a low-cost spay-neuter clinic, VOCAL has since expanded its mission to include a Community Clinic and Resource Center, offering vital veterinary services, food assistance, and support for pet owners and caregivers.

Impact on the Community

VOCAL has made a significant difference in the local community by providing low-cost and no-cost spay-neuter services, veterinary care, and food assistance to over 3,000 animals. This initiative has helped prevent the birth of thousands of unwanted pets and has strengthened local shelters and rescue organizations through resource sharing.
