Our Story

Voices for Independence (VFI) was founded in December 1993 by a dedicated group of individuals with disabilities. They sought to create a supportive environment that offered alternatives to existing services and advocacy options. VFI is committed to empowering people with disabilities through consumer-driven, respectful, and responsive independent living supports.

Serving 27 counties in Western Pennsylvania, VFI enhances the quality of life for individuals with disabilities, promoting independence and dignity.
