Our Story

With a rich history spanning 134 years, Vocational Guidance Services began as the Sunbeam Circle, dedicated to supporting patients at Lakeside Children’s Hospital. In 1986, the organization adopted its current name, reflecting a steadfast commitment to serving individuals with disabilities through innovative, evidence-based programming.

Impact

Each year, VGS serves nearly 4,000 individuals, providing over 677,800 hours of work experience and training. This translates to more than $7.1 million in wages and benefits for Ohio residents, significantly boosting the local economy and fostering job creation.
