Founded in 1975 by a dedicated group of volunteers led by Marion Oeschsner, the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) was established to meet the growing need for quality home healthcare in Indian River County. Starting with just one nurse director and one home health aide, VNA has expanded its services significantly over the years. Today, it offers a comprehensive continuum of care, including hospice services and private caregivers. The establishment of the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach marked a significant milestone, providing 24/7 hospice care for residents and families facing terminal illnesses.
