Our Story
Founded in 1998 by local cancer survivors, physicians, and community members, the Vital Access Care Foundation (VACF) emerged to address the pressing needs for culturally tailored cancer education and services within the Vietnamese community. Recognizing that cancer is the leading cause of death in this demographic, VACF became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2002. Over the past 25 years, VACF has evolved from focusing solely on breast cancer awareness to addressing a broader spectrum of cancers and holistic health, particularly among the aging population across various racial and ethnic groups.
