Founded in 1978, the Visual Art Institute is Utah’s oldest nonprofit after-school arts organization dedicated to nurturing creativity in youth. Established by Stephanie Burn, VAI has expanded its programs to work with public schools and provide tuition assistance to low-income youth, fostering a legacy of artistic growth and confidence.
Serving over 2,600 individuals each year, VAI transforms lives through art education. Many students achieve local, state, and national recognition, thanks to the dedicated faculty who guide them.
