Our Story

The Visiting Nurse Association of Florida was founded over 45 years ago by Patricia Quinn Crow, who envisioned a world where patients discharged from hospitals could continue to receive quality medical care in the comfort of their own homes. In 1976, the first office was opened in Martin County, starting with just one nurse and a part-time physical therapist. Today, VNA of Florida operates seven offices across the state, serving over 15 counties and providing essential home health services.

Our Growth and Services

Under the leadership of Patricia's son, Donald Crow, and now her granddaughter, Jennifer Crow, VNA has expanded its reach significantly. The organization now includes VNA Plus, which offers extended home care services not covered by Medicare, and the Visiting Nurse Foundation (VNF), which supports community initiatives through donations. VNF funds projects such as building handicap-accessible ramps, providing Thanksgiving meals, and offering scholarships to nursing students.

With a commitment to serving the community, VNA accepts various payment methods, including Medicaid, Medicare, and private health insurances, ensuring that quality care is accessible to all.
