Our Story

The Vision Resource Center began its journey in 1936 as the Cumberland County Association of the Blind, dedicated to serving the needs of individuals with visual impairments. Over the decades, it has evolved, becoming a vital part of the community and one of the first agencies of the United Way of Cumberland County. In 2000, the organization rebranded to the Vision Resource Center, and in 2019, it proudly opened its new facility at 2736 Cedar Creek Road, Fayetteville, NC.

Impact

By advocating for the needs of the blind and visually impaired, the Vision Resource Center enhances their quality of life through education, skill development, and socialization opportunities.
