Our Story

Founded in 2018 and authorized by the Charter Institute at Erskine, Virtus Academy is a free, K–12 Public Charter School dedicated to serving the young minds of Florence and Darlington Counties. With a commitment to providing an alternative to traditional public education, Virtus Academy opened its doors to grades K–5 and is expanding annually to achieve full K–12 status by 2025. The school fosters a specialized learning community that emphasizes smaller class sizes and a Project-Based Learning Curriculum, ensuring that every student is motivated to reach their highest potential.

Our Impact

At Virtus Academy, the generosity of the community plays a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience.
