Our Story

Founded by George B. Showalter, Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community (VMRC) is dedicated to providing assisted living and nursing home care in a faith-based environment. Rooted in Anabaptist traditions, VMRC welcomes individuals from all faiths and backgrounds.

Impact

VMRC offers affordable housing and care for residents, including those who have outlived their resources, through the Good Samaritan Fund and Compassion Endowment. The organization also engages in community service, providing temporary housing for Afghan families and donating surplus items to local charities.
