About Virginia Health Care Foundation
The Virginia Health Care Foundation (VHCF) is a public-private partnership dedicated to increasing access to primary health care for uninsured Virginians and those in underserved areas. Since 1992, VHCF has supported free clinics, community health centers, and various nonprofit organizations to expand the types of care offered and the number of patients served each year.
Impact of VHCF
Since its inception, VHCF has made over 4 million patient visits possible and generated more than $10 billion in free medications for nearly 372,712 individuals. The foundation has also enrolled over 150,000 Virginians in state-sponsored health insurance.
