About the Vintage Fire Museum

Founded in 2009, the Vintage Fire Museum began as a passionate initiative by the Friends of the New Albany Fire Museum, Inc. to acquire the Conway collection and establish a dedicated space for firefighting history. In 2010, the entire collection was purchased and temporarily displayed in New Albany. By 2014, the museum officially opened its doors at 723 Spring Street in Jeffersonville, Indiana, and later relocated to 706 Spring Street in 2021. The museum features a Safety Education Center, a store, and exhibits that honor the bravery of firefighters throughout history.
