The Village Walk for Cancer Research began in 2002 as a heartfelt initiative by friends of Midge Bates, following her breast cancer diagnosis. This annual event has transformed into a dedicated nonprofit organization, officially recognized as a 501c3 in 2021, committed to advancing cancer research and support in the community.
