EIN: 81-3276984 · Akron, OH
Our Story
The Village of St. Edward was founded in the mid-1950s by dedicated Catholic activists, Mrs. Germaine Karg and Mrs. Anna Doran Walsh. Recognizing the need for a Catholic home for the aged in Akron, they collaborated with Catholic Charities and the Sisters of St. Dominic to bring this vision to life. Since opening in 1964, the facility has expanded its services to include independent living, assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation, and hospice care, all while emphasizing community involvement and support.
