Our Story
The Village Learning Place is an independent nonprofit library that emerged from the community's determination to restore educational resources after the closure of the Charles Village branch of the Enoch Pratt Free Library in 1997. This community-focused library now serves as a hub for educational programs and enrichment opportunities in Charles Village and throughout Baltimore City.

Recognized as one of the nation's select 21st Century Community Learning Centers, the Village Learning Place has made significant contributions to the community. It provides a 'cradle to gown' educational experience, supporting students from preschool through high school.
