Our Story

Villa Finale Museum & Gardens, the last home of preservationist Walter Nold Mathis, stands as a testament to the revitalization of the historic King William neighborhood. Built in 1876, this remarkable house was restored by Mathis, who dedicated his life to preserving the cultural heritage of San Antonio. In 2004, he bequeathed the property to the National Trust for Historic Preservation, ensuring its legacy for future generations.
