Founded in 1984 by Vietnamese refugees, the Vietnamese American Civic Association, Inc. is dedicated to promoting family self-sufficiency and community empowerment among the Vietnamese population in Boston and Greater Boston. Established by five passionate individuals alarmed by anti-Asian attacks, VACA strives to educate the community about the Vietnamese culture while providing essential services to ease the resettlement process for newly arrived refugees.
Every month, hundreds of low-income Vietnamese individuals are turned away due to a lack of resources.
