The Victims Resource Center began in 1974 as a grassroots initiative known as the Luzerne County Women Organized Against Rape. This organization emerged in response to the nationwide rape crisis movement and has since evolved to provide comprehensive services to victims of all types of crime.
VRC has developed numerous direct service and educational programs to meet the needs of victims, their families, and the community, helping victims transition from victimhood to survivorship.
Contributions from individuals, foundations, and corporations are vital for VRC to continue its mission of supporting victims of crime. Donations can be made in various forms, including cash, memorial gifts, and matching gifts from employers.
