Our Story
Founded in 1899 by returning Veterans of the Spanish American War, VFW Post 1 is the first VFW Post in the world. It has a rich history of providing support and camaraderie for Veterans, merging with other organizations to form the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Today, it continues to meet the needs of Veterans in the Metro Denver community through various programs and services.
Impact
VFW Post 1 has successfully revitalized its building through a $2 million capital campaign, enhancing its capabilities to serve Veterans and the community with expanded health and wellness programs and services.
