Our Story
In July 2015, Amy Uptgraft initiated a powerful conversation about the lives of military spouses through her theatre production, I Will Wait. This impactful play resonated with both military and civilian communities, highlighting the unique journeys of military spouses. In 2018, alongside fellow military spouses Lea Johnson and Wendy Caldwell, the Veterans Spouse Project was established as a 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to sharing these vital stories and fostering understanding between communities.
Our Impact
The Veterans Spouse Project focuses on the experiences of military spouses, providing support and healing through theatre and creative arts workshops. By bringing to life the joys and challenges faced by military families, VSP addresses the mental and emotional toll of uncertainty and separation.
