Our Story

Veterans in Crisis (VIC) is a dedicated volunteer-led nonprofit organization established to meet the urgent needs of veterans in Northwest Lower Michigan. Founded in 2016 by veterans who recognized the ongoing struggles faced by their peers, VIC offers essential 'hand-ups' to veterans across 14 counties, addressing critical issues such as medical expenses, home repairs, and transportation.

Since its inception, VIC has been a lifeline for veterans, providing assistance within 24 hours for urgent situations. The organization has successfully alleviated financial stress for many veterans, ensuring they receive the support they need in times of crisis.
