Our Story

Since 1983, the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Education Foundation has been dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for local students. By raising funds from individuals, businesses, and community organizations, the foundation has awarded nearly $1.5 million in scholarships to approximately 1,800 students. In 2014, the foundation separated from Scholarship America to focus on the unique needs of the VVS community, merging with another nonprofit to create tailored scholarship and grant opportunities.

Impact

Over 35 years, $1.8 million has been awarded to 2,200 students, significantly improving education in the VVS area.
