Our Story

The Verland Foundation was founded by three dedicated women—Nancy, Theo, and Carol—who were inspired by their love for their children with disabilities. They envisioned a nurturing environment where individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities could live with dignity and respect. The name 'Verland' is a heartfelt tribute to the founders' children, symbolizing their commitment to care.

Impact

Verland provides person-centered care and support for individuals facing complex challenges, enhancing their quality of life and enabling them to contribute meaningfully to society. With 37 community living homes and four adult training facilities across Western Pennsylvania, Verland is making a significant difference.
