Our Story
In the summer of 2012, a group of families in Beaumont recognized the need for a more challenging, Christ-centered educational environment for their children. They envisioned a unique blend of homeschooling and private education that would foster a strong parent-child discipleship relationship. After extensive research, prayer, and guidance from leaders of similar schools, the launch team for Veritas Classical Academy was formed. This team organized an informational meeting to present the vision of a school that would partner with families to provide a distinctively Christian and academically rigorous education.
With God's blessing, a church facility was secured to host the school, and a dedicated board of Veritas families was established. Bylaws were written, and the nonprofit corporation was formed, with board members committing to donate start-up costs to ensure a successful launch. In August 2013, Veritas Classical Academy opened its doors with 23 students, 13 families, and 8 faculty members. Since then, the school has experienced rapid growth, reflecting its success and the support of the community.
