Our Story

Founded in 1973 by a coalition of churches in Bloomington, Minnesota, VEAP (Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People) was established to combat the growing need for food assistance in the community. Over the years, VEAP has transformed into one of Minnesota's largest food pantries, providing essential food and social services to individuals and families facing food insecurity and financial crises.

Impact

VEAP distributes over 4 million pounds of food annually, serving more than 100,000 individuals in the community. The organization operates a visitor-choice food pantry model, allowing clients to select food items that best meet their needs.
