VAN NESS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PARENT TEACHER ORGANIZATION

The mission of the PTO is to cultivate and nurture a robust school family that is unified in support of each other and in service to Van Ness Elementary School. The work of the PTO is centered on that mission and focuses on: CONNECTING: Providing community building opportunities for families to get to know each other and helping to promote open dialog between the school and families. SUPPORTING: Supporting Van Ness through organizing the school's volunteer needs making sure teachers and staff know they are appreciated acting as the school's fiscal agent and providing administrative support. FUNDING: Supporting Van Ness by raising money through fundraising events building partnerships with local businesses making use of give-back opportunities and providing families ways to support each other and the school through financial donations.
