Our Story

Founded in 1997 by Lynne Green with a donated Checker limousine and a $2000 grant from the Kansas Arts Commission, Van Go Mobile Arts Inc began as a mobile arts outreach program. The organization believes in the transformative power of art-making, bringing inspiration and creativity to youth in the community. Over the years, it has evolved into a nationally recognized arts-based employment program for teens and young adults.

Impact

Van Go has significantly improved the lives of local youth, achieving a higher graduation rate among participants compared to their peers. In 2022 alone, the organization provided 116 work opportunities and paid $117,459 in wages and stipends to youth, fostering their growth into confident, goal-setting citizens.
