Our Story

In 1947, Mrs. Bernice Kussell recognized the unmet needs of children with developmental disabilities in Arizona. With a vision for a better life, she opened her home to provide care and support. By 1949, her efforts led to the establishment of the Valley of the Sun School, which has evolved into VALLEYLIFE. Today, VALLEYLIFE continues to champion the rights and integration of individuals with disabilities, offering a range of essential services.
