The Vail Preservation Society was founded in 2006 to safeguard the rich history of Vail and its built environment. Starting as a grassroots initiative focused on the Old Vail Store & Post Office, it has evolved into a vital community organization that fosters connections through historic preservation, public art, and educational programs.
Last year, VPS reached over half of the rural Vail community, with 112 dedicated volunteers contributing more than 4,670 hours to support preservation and education efforts.
