Our Story

Founded in 2003 with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Parent to Parent USA was established to connect families of children with special health care needs. This national network, rooted in the first Parent to Parent program from 1971, aims to ensure that no parent feels alone in their journey. By fostering connections among families, Parent to Parent USA provides essential emotional support and guidance.

Our Impact

Parent to Parent USA connects families to trained Support Parents who offer peer-to-peer emotional support. This model, endorsed by the American Academy of Pediatrics, enhances health outcomes for children and families by helping them navigate challenges and access vital community resources.
