Founded in 1997, the Urgent Action Fund for Feminist Activism delivers critical funding to frontline feminists and their movements during urgent crises and unexpected opportunities. This innovative rapid response model has enabled activists worldwide to access the resources they need when traditional funding sources fall short. With independent sister funds across Africa, Latin America, Asia, and the Pacific, the Urgent Action Fund focuses on supporting feminist activism in Canada, Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East, the Balkans, the Caucasus, and the United States.

Since its inception, the Urgent Action Fund has awarded $19 million in grants, providing 3,234 rapid response grants across 125 countries, empowering women, trans, and non-binary activists in their fight for social change.
